DARK SPOTS

They are a very common problem, that affects all types of skin and are very frequent in women, regardless of their age and skin tone.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to perform the treatment?
It is advisable to perform the treatment after the summer, to avoid intense, prolonged sun exposure. In some areas where sun radiation is unavoidable, it is recommended to avoid direct exposure, using a hat and a very high sun protection.

Is it painless?
After treatment at the clinic, the skin appears reddened and feels warm, but these are mild, expected symptoms that will disappear after 24-48 hours. During the first days of the home phase, a slight flaking can appear, with some sensitivity, but these symptoms are treated with the application of the recommended home products.

Is it compatible with my daily activities?
It is a non-invasive topical treatment and does not interrupt a normal lifestyle. However, it is vitally important that the daily homecare regime is maintained and sun exposure will need to be avoided as much as possible.

Will the dark spots disappear completely and forever?
Although the appearance of dark spots are significantly reduced, there is always some chance for them to reappear, in particular when the skin is exposed to the sun. Therefore, the daily use of sunscreen is essential and in the case of more visibly resistant dark spots, complement with a regulating depigmentation treatment, always under the recommendation of a professional.

What distinguishes cosmelan® from other depigmentation treatments?
Other depigmentation treatments, such as laser or chemical peels, limit their action to removing the appearance of the pigment accumulated in the skin and making the spot less visible, but their reappearance cannot be avoided.

cosmelan® has a dual visible corrective and regulating action to treat the concern and help prevent the recurrence of visible pigment.
